Public bug reported: Binary package hint: b43-fwcutter
If you're peruvian you'll have no wireless. The package b43-fwcutter includes a script that needs to download a file to install the wireless driver. When the script executes: wget http://downloads.openwrt.org/sources/wl_apsta-3.130.20.0.o The download times out. I reported this as part of the bug #553704 and got two responses saying that the site is not down and that they can download the file without problem. I am in Peru and my ISP Telefonica and I cannot download that file. I asked a friend in Argentina and she downloaded the file without problems. If not funny enough: I CAN read the file listing of http://downloads.openwrt.org/sources/ using google translator, but NOT directly from the browser. I asked a friend in my city to download the same file from a computer using ms windows and he could not download the file. So, I think that server is filtering my ISP's IPs or something. Who is responsible for such a thing? :( Release: Ubuntu 10.04 Beta 2 Package: b43-fwcutter 1:012-1build1 0 ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.04 Package: b43-fwcutter (not installed) ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.32-20.29-generic 2.6.32.11+drm33.2 Uname: Linux 2.6.32-20-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia Architecture: amd64 Date: Mon Apr 12 15:49:34 2010 ProcEnviron: PATH=(custom, user) LANG=es_PE.utf8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: b43-fwcutter ** Affects: b43-fwcutter (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug lucid -- download from downloads.openwrt.org does not work from Peru https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/561832 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
