It seems Canonical has no solution for this! I've had this problem in Jaunty, Karmic and guess what? I've installed Lucid and the issue is still here... I know it's still a Beta version and I refuse to go back to window$ just for this 1 issue but I'm guessing many people will do just that. Everybody still uses CD and DVD drives.
