** Description changed:

Ubuntu 10.04 beta 2 is the first one in this test cycle I could boot on
my machine. However I have noticed that the volume manager detects my
sound cards but I cannot select them for output or input. For the output
- the only selection available is dummy audio device. I have a
- soundblaster audigy that works in 9.10 other than input. In 10.04 it
- show it in hardware profile but when I move it to the correct profile I
- still cannot select it in output tab.
+ the only selection available is dummy audio device. I have a sound-
+ blaster audiogy that works in 9.10 other than input. In 10.04 it show it
+ in hardware profile but when I move it to the correct profile I still
+ cannot select it in output tab. Now on a computer with standard hardware
+ and standard audio duplexer on-board. It is displaying the hardware
+ correctly but when I Go to the out put tab it only can select dummy
+ audio device and there is no sound out put. So so far three different
+ computers same problem on two and the other only works on head phone
+ jacks.
