missing NTFS functionality is a holdback for many that want to move from Windows to linux. Now there is a working solution (ntfs-3g). But the Ubuntu Feature Specification for it doesn't even have a Priority assigned : https://blueprints.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+spec/write-support-for-ntfs
