Public bug reported:
because I presumed that my USMport on the mainboard was defective, I
inserted a new USB controller card. It did not help very much, it worked
like before, but a new bug appeared. <when I was scanning, the process
of scanning stopped and the screen was frozen in, The mouse and the
keyboard showed no reaction. The only way to get out was the reset key.
When I tryed it once more, the sanning stopped again but this time only
the screen of xsane was frozen and it was possible to kill the process.
What can be the reason for such a freezing?
