I found that doing: 1. apt-get purge moonlight-plugin-core moonlight-plugin-mozilla 2. Start firefox 3. Exit firefox 4. apt-get install moonlight-plugin-core moonlight-plugin-mozilla 5. Start firefox fixes the problem for me. Have reproduced the fix twice now:
First crash: kbother...@kim-touch:~$ firefox Attempting to load the system libmoon Segmentation fault (core dumped) After removing moonlight plugins: kbother...@kim-touch:~$ firefox OpenOffice path is '/usr/lib/openoffice' After reinstalling the plugins: kbother...@kim-touch:~$ firefox Attempting to load the system libmoon -- cannot open Firefox when libmoon is installed https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/538796 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
