Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: terminator

When splitting the second tab, input focus is left with the old pane.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open a new tab (Ctrl-Shift-T).
2. Switch to any of the tabs (Ctrl-PageUp, for example).
3. Split it (Ctrl-Shift-O).
4. Type something.

Expected results:
The input goes to the newly-created bottom pane.

Actual results:
The input goes to the existing top pane.

When splitting the only tab, the input goes to the bottom, as expected.
