Public bug reported: Unexpected good news for me: the nouveau kernel module was enabled on PPC in 2.6.32-19. Unfortunately, the display now turns off early in boot (before X launches) and the screens complains about the lack of input then about input being out of range.
I tried without success to remove the "splash" boot option or to force the resolution with video=1280x1024 Using the previous kernel and the nv X driver, I have a (very slow) display and a text console Using the previous kernel and the nouveau X driver I have a messed-up X display (800x600 and colors scrumbled) but a working text console. Using the new kernel I don't even have a text console. I didn't yet try blacklisting the nouveau module, I'd much rather find a way to make it work! Is it a better way to force the video mode or alternative kernel options to try ?
