When starting Apache (with PHP), the following line is output in the
error log

PHP Deprecated:  Comments starting with '#' are deprecated in
/etc/php5/cli/conf.d/imagick.ini on line 1 in Unknown on line 0

Changing the first line in /etc/php5/cli/conf.d/imagick.ini from 
# configuration for php imagick module
to 
// configuration for php imagick module

resolves the issue.
