Okay, this appears to be fixed in the Ubuntu slideshow now, with the new appearance. Originally it was too big to fit on a smaller screened device, but at this point it fits on 798x451px, which is just about the target for the now, err, MIA (eep!) netbook version. I've poked at it with my N810 (which has a 16bpp screen) and it looks happy.
The Kubuntu design has no obvious issues. The Xubuntu design has gradients going on (and banding with them), but they are much softer than the previous Ubuntu design. I'll try some tricks with it in GIMP if I get the chance before the release candidate, but I am not very good with images and I'm mainly focusing on exams so can't make any promises. If anyone else wants to give it a shot, that would be awesome ;) -- wallpaper gradients are massively distorted at 16bpp depth https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/423638 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
