Ok, I have ubuntu 6.10 here with not many "different" packages (quite a
few from universe, multiverse, etc, and w32codecs, flash etc, but
virtually nothing hand-compiled or taken from a completely alien
source).

Took the ubuntu source packages for amarok-1.4.1, compiled it, no FLAC.
Took the ubuntu source packages for xine-lib 1.1.2 and xine-extracodecs,
compiled them, everything with amarok is ok. I am not shure if I have or
haven't recompiled amarok after the xine upgrade, but I don't think so.

Totem with xine seems to be working fine, too (didn't test reading a
DVD, though), and I did not recompile it.

I guess this bug may be closed if this version of xine-libs and xine-
extracodecs is backported to 6.10.

Thanks for all the hard work!
