What looks to be different between the two systems is the monitors, which seem to be a rev number different. This sounds minor but the EDID presented by the monitors are coming through quite a bit differently. I'm not sure if that is what is causing the difference in behavior but I could certainly imagine it could. I do notice one error in the EDID parsing bits:
