i just tested it. it happened again. not sure whether it is Gstreamer or not, that was the default, but I added the Xine and GXine for the MP3 support. i will admit that i am rather new to *nix, so i could have something ill configured.
before this, when I would play an MP3 it would give off these nasty clicks and pops for the drum hits. it could be the Xine or GXine in all honesty, i dont know how to find out what output i am using.
