Thank you for your help, Brad, now I'll try these out. But first: which of the development release should I use? The 10.04, the one in 9.10 or the Karmic/Lucid one? I'll try to install the 10.04 in a new partition, then if it's something else just let me know. Then I'll test the new kernel too, but just give me one or two week.
