I tried this today, that does not help.

I found a "workaround" in the other bug reports:
I wrote a small script that basically contains

pulseaudio -k
gksudo 'alsa force-reload' 

then I set it executable, and created a link on the desktop.
(I'm aware of the potential security vulnerability, that someone with my 
privileges could edit the script and execute his code with su-rights, but for 
my home-laptop that's okay as there is always a confirmation question ...)
