I'm having a similar problem. Firefox crashes randomly, sometimes even when I'm not active using it / am on a different desktop. firefox 3.5.8 on ubuntu
I tried to get a hint by running it in gdb and got the same errors on 3 crashes (no ff debugging symbols): ff_segfault.txt I disabled all plugins, same crashes.
