Please make sure you have version 0.92bubuntu71 or later of initramfs- tools installed. If you didn't, and you upgrade to this version, is the problem resolved?
Originally, you reported: > When I boot, I can't see the purple boot, but just text lines. But your report shows: > ProcCmdLine: BOOT_IMAGE=/boot/vmlinuz-2.6.32-15-generic root=/dev/sda6 Which does not include the 'splash' argument - of course if you disable the splash screen, you won't have a purple boot. OTOH, your report also claims: > ProcCmdline: /sbin/plymouthd --mode=boot ... which is not supposed to be there. Did you edit this report by hand before submitting? Can you confirm that you are booting with 'splash' enabled? ** Changed in: plymouth (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- plymouthd crashed with SIGSEGV https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/543344 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
