I am running Kubuntu Lucid with all updates applied and lsmod | grep sony returns: sony_laptop 33756 0
So I think the sony-laptop module is installed. The Mode, Activity and Settings hotkeys above the normal keyboard are filed in different bug reports (http://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=25835 for the non- recognized buttons and http://bugreports.qt.nokia.com/browse/QTBUG-7063 for the shifted Activity buttons) The zoom buttons do not work because of X11 not being able to use keycodes with a value > 255 (https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11227) The External display button simply has no action to connect it to.
