thanks for the help your solution solved my problem and everything is fine with grub now .But i am facing one problem after editing the file as per your instruction the GRUB is fine when i load it through it display the options and then when i select my ubuntu image to boot it goes in to text mode and load all the hardwares after loading all the hardware it enters the GNOME.
