@ Andy - Its definably fixed the problem. I've been using my net-book for around 3 - 5 hours every day for work over last month or so and had no problems since rolling my BIOS back to the previous version.
@ dragostino - To put my BIOS back to 1.6 I followed this method using an old BIOS update... http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB9902P80000R01.htm However I burnt the image to a CD using an external CD writer, and Booted it that way.
