Thanks for reporting this issue.

As said in this bug report, you need to use "localhost (QEMU)" in virt-
manager and not "localhost (QEMU Usermode)" in order to connect to
qemu:///system.

Can you still reproduce this issue with a recent virt-manager, such as
the one in Karmic or Lucid?
