I also have a similar bug with my Brother MFC-7840W that I have already reported. Problem with print corruption and spitting out lots of blank pages. May or may not help here to see my bug as it may be cross Brother problem. I used "ubuntu-bug" to report so there is some uploaded files to help. Bug #545779
