Thanks for reporting this bug and any supporting documentation. Since this bug has enough information provided for a developer to begin work, I'm going to mark it as confirmed and let them handle it from here. Thanks for taking the time to make Ubuntu better!
** Description changed: I am using Ubuntu 9.04. When i booted it up the first time (live cd or installed) it had a wrong resolution. I have a Ati radeon Xpress 200 card with a Compaq V75 monitor. The out of the box resolution for this system is set as 1024 X 768 (4:3) at 85 hz. But the correct/perfect resolution for my system is 1024 X 768 (4:3) at 75 hz. This also happened with Xubuntu 9.10 live cd (i think Ubuntu 9.10 would have the same) And if i change the resolution my gdm is still the wrong one... :( So i hope this will be fixed for the whole computer. + + + 01:05.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: ATI Technologies Inc RS480 [Radeon Xpress 200G Series] [1002:5954] + Subsystem: Micro-Star International Co., Ltd.
