So glad to hear this will (hopefully!) make it into Lucid! For what it's worth, it's none of the stability and bug-fix issues, however important, that were a problem for our labs. It is the poor performance of 4.4 on full or fragmented filesystems that has been the deal-breaker for us, and forces us to update each machine manually from a more recent ntfs-3g source.
