Can you please run ubuntu-bug 541749 to attach the logs we need here?
Also, what is the brand and model of both the GPU and the motherboard?
Do you have an option to disable SLI or set the lane width to 16x in
bios? There are quite a few 630i motherboards (mostly from gigabyte)
sold with 16x slots that only work in 4x mode.
