Thanks for your help duandesign, You are right, I did try and install a newer version of the client. Sorry I thought removing the package and the repo would get rid of all the files - or I would have mentioned it. Anyway, after running the you gave me command you gave me after hanging for about 2 mins I get: $ u1sdtool -q ubuntuone-syncdaemon still running. Nevertheless I removed the old meta data and restarted. The ubuntu one client launched on start up (by that i mean the icon in the panel) but it gave an error in the Notify OSD bubble that said I have a capabilities mismatch and that I am running a newer client than the server. I guess this is because the old data wasn't fully removed because u1sdtool --quit didnt work? Ive attached the files you requested. Thanks, Rhys. ** Attachment added: "~/.cache/ubuntuone/log/syncdaemon.log" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/41295051/syncdaemon.log -- ubuntuone-client-applet crashes / gives dbus related error https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/541407 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
