I'm sorry, it's difficult for me to explain. I'll try to make it more clear.
So, the "Main Menu" applet has an option called "Quit". You can use that to turn off the computer. But when I compile the gnome-panel from source, the "Quit" option is no longer there. Instead there is simply a "Log Out" option. So, my bug is that when you compile gnome-panel from source, this Quit option is not there for some reason.
