** Description changed: I'm using HP pavilion dv6835nr laptop. I used ubuntu 9.10 and everything worked perfectly ( I was able to power on with lid closed, and when I opened it my display was working). Now at ubuntu 10.4 it does turn on and respond to every comand, but my display is not working after opening lid (I can go to console by ctrl+alt+f1 and login and restart or type any command, but don't see anything) Description: Ubuntu lucid (development branch) Release: 10.04 + + + now (two days later) my laptop doesn't turn on at all. It's some xorg issue: + in /var/log/Xorg... i get: + + (EE) intel(0): [drm] failed to set drm interface version. + (EE) intel(0): Failed to become DRM master. + (EE) intel(0): failed to get resources: Bad file descriptor + (EE) intel(0): Kernel modesetting setup failed
