There was an activity as you can see two other people confirmed the bug. If you mean there was no apparent activity from developers side I have to agree, nobody seems to care about 9-months old bug which is kind of frustrating for your users you know.
As you advised I tried the latest development build and downloaded ISO from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/10.04/alpha-3/lucid-desktop- amd64.iso but my results are conclusive in only one way. This shit managed to screw up my RAID controller so that on next reboot it panicked and could not find a single drive in a system and only message that I could get from my system was something to the tune of "RAID BIOS... Your hardware is damaged". I had to power-cycle everything to be able to boot again, but that certainly ran few scary thoughts through my head. Thanks, guys, but I'll not ever touch that shit again. If you have some hardware to spare then test it yourself. -- Jaunty upgrade breaks SATA port multiplier https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/383294 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
