I am having the same exact problem. I want to try the db method, but I
do not want to delete my pst import messages in my personal folder. Each
time I open Evolution, I am prompted to save my .pst. So if I do this,
will I run the chance of losing my data if I exercise the folder
deletion method you have described for the emptying of the trash folder
messages. They are really building up fast...
