I I knew what the problem was I would tell you... the problem is that X just crashed... all of a sudden. I uploaded a core tile I think... so that should have the info you need. Why do I have to be involved like a developer testing something anyway? On Windows and MAC they simply ask if you want to help make the product better, and they collect info and submit it anonymously. I do not have to go to a web page and create an account, and log in, and describe this that and the other... This is not how you get customers from the other platforms to come to Ubuntu. I know that Ubuntu is free, but this just enforces the perception that free is not as good as commercial software. I know that Ubuntu wants more people to use Ubuntu; and this process for handling software issues is detrimental to that effort.
As a user, I was using Ubuntu (standard stuff; INTERNET, etc.) and blink! It all crashed. If you do not know why, this process of handling bugs is the bug report. As a user: 1, I was browsing the Internet 2, I expect it not to blow up 3, It blew up... Sorry if I do not have any more details... I had added this, which is not to be expected of ANY normal user: ** Attachment added: "core" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/35549819/core ** Attachment added: ".home.stephans..cache.ubuntuone.log.oauth.login.log.txt" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/35549821/.home.stephans..cache.ubuntuone.log.oauth.login.log.txt ** Attachment added: "Dependencies.txt" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/35549822/Dependencies.txt ** Attachment added: "UbuntuoneClientPackages.txt" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/35549823/UbuntuoneClientPackages.txt ** Attachment added: "XsessionErrors.txt" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/35549824/XsessionErrors.txt - Show quoted text - -- everything crashed... https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/480941 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
