Thank you for taking the time to report this issue and help to improve
Ubuntu.

What do you mean when you say, "if I do not control"?

The message "[SIFM]", which I think has been replaced with a more
detailed message in the current version of mountall, indicates the keys
you can press to take certain actions.  'F' means 'try to fix the
filesystem'; 'M' means 'enter a maintenance shell'.  Have you tried
either of these options?
