Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: indicator-sound

with the update to 0.1.3-0ubuntu1 of indicator-sound

the volume control applet (which is a part of this package) never has an
option to display.

If you want to adjust the volume, you have to go into
System/Preferences/Sound

and then the sound buzzes a lot. Futzing with the the volume control
there, will eventually allow it to play an mp3 file.

I have: 00:0a.0 Multimedia audio controller: Cirrus Logic CS
4614/22/24/30 [CrystalClear SoundFusion Audio Accelerator] (rev 01)

on a 32 bit system. Worked fine on SuSE 11.0 and Ubuntu 9.10

Wayno
