Public bug reported:
There are many useful setting options available in File Management (nautilus-file-management) for users of all sorts. Cannot see any valid reason while it's always been disabled by default other than the idea that new users may be idiots and need to be protected from these options (what options may be 'dangerous' is also unclear... Cannot even begin to count how many times just myself have had to tell users how to enable F M thru any of the various methods ProblemType: Bug Architecture: i386 Date: Sun Mar 7 19:23:12 2010 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.04 InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 10.04 "Lucid Lynx" - Alpha i386 (20100211.1) Package: gnome (not installed) ProcEnviron: PATH=(custom, user) LANG=en_US.utf8 SHELL=/bin/bash ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.32-15.22-generic SourcePackage: meta-gnome2 Uname: Linux 2.6.32-15-generic i686 ** Affects: meta-gnome2 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug i386 lucid -- Please enable File Management in default gnome menu in Lucud https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/534115 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
