Still having this bug on 0.12.7: connecting to a password protected mt- daap share which is outside the internal LAN fails. It just times out with no message and no password prompt. The same daap share is accessible with no issues through other clients such as Songbird. It would be nice if daap plugin in Rhytmbox is tweaked in a way to support such non-LAN shares.
