Public bug reported:

Not sure exactly what triggered the bug report. Was checking the system with
the included system testing program and it locked on Drive test. Noted that C:
root drive showed one bad (iffy) sector earlier in testing, but suspect that is
the Linux resident files as I installed using Wubi on F: drive an external USB
Western Digital drive and Dual Booting from Winders Vista Premium. My in case
C drive has checked consecutively Good for the past two weeks inside Vista with
various programs including the Western Digital Utilities supplied with the hard
drive. Running Linux Ubuntu on F drive 9.10. Will upgrade in a few minutes to
the newer kernal and see what shows up. Yesturday, after upgrading the system
went to pot shortly after restarting Linux with this set up.
Running Asus M2N68-AM plus Mobo, AMD dual core 2.1gig CPU and 2 gigs Ram
667mhz. C drive is 320gig WD F drive is a 80 gig WD USB external. I am noting
sporadic system freezes. Thank You
