Actually, what gets me into x.org is to first press ctrl-alt-F10 (or F9) and then ctrl-alt-F7 (pressing ctrl-alt-F7 directly does not work). I am then confronted by the UNE-lanucher and a popup asking for my keyring password (in order to access the PSK for the secure WLAN). Once I enter this, I get thrown back to the login screen and have to log in manually.
