Can anybody else confirm this as a workaround?

1) $ sudo apt-get install xulrunner
2) Append this to eclipse.ini

-Dorg.eclipse.swt.browser.XULRunnerPath=/usr/lib/xulrunner/xulrunner

3) $ ./eclipse -data `mktemp -d`
4) $ "Close the 'Welcome' tab"

No crash.

And my already configured projects work again as well.

Not that i have clue whats going on, but "-verbose:jni" showed me calls
to mozilla stuff just before eclipse crashes, so i thought, maybe it has
something to do with xulrunner and gave it a try.
