Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: smbldap-tools

following this howto on lucid server alpha3
http://sugo.ubuntu.hu/9.04/html/serverguide/hu/samba-ldap.html

reaching step:
sudo perl /usr/share/doc/smbldap-tools/configure.pl

my workgroupname is set to CSOPORT

the script asks for:

. sambaUnixIdPooldn: object where you want to store the next uidNumber
  and gidNumber available for new users and groups
  sambaUnixIdPooldn object (relative to ${suffix}) [sambaDomainName=CSOPORT] >

i press ENTER to accept the default value, and after doing the populate step
and starting samba, i see the following in the syslog:
Mar  3 11:35:14 lucid slapd[602]: conn=1209 op=2 do_search: invalid dn:
"sambaDomainName=,sambaDomainName=CSOPORT,dc=itthon1,dc=hu"

looks as if the configure.pl gives a wrong default value, or inserts
something funny in /etc/smbldap-tools/smbldap.conf:

# Where to store next uidNumber and gidNumber available for new users and grou$
# If not defined, entries are stored in sambaDomainName object.
# Ex: sambaUnixIdPooldn="sambaDomainName=${sambaDomain},${suffix}"
# Ex: sambaUnixIdPooldn="cn=NextFreeUnixId,${suffix}"
sambaUnixIdPooldn="sambaDomainName=CSOPORT,${suffix}"

smbldap-tools version: 0.9.5-1
