Working in 32bit karmic as well. Tested on another machine with a
standard CD-R drive and a DVD-RW/CD-R drive, so Invalid (or fix
released) status is fine. Thanks for the reminder that this bug report
was still open.

Added note: not related to the original bug report, but might be a good
idea to revise the menu so that qxtool appears in Applications|System
Tools. Currently it only shows up in the
Debian|Applications|System|Hardware menu & most folks do not have the
Debian menu turned on by default.
