I am now unable to help debug because I now have Tuxonice kernels.
This is not still an issue for me because I have installed Tuxonice. Tuxonice
works great. It did take a lengthy configuration (I followed a tutorial at
ubuntugeek.com) but now instead of having to patch your kernel you now get
Tuxonice kernels from the Tuxonice PPA. I did have some resume problems with
Tuxonice, but found that was due to the Tuxonice userui. I uninstalled that
and all is perfect.
Who knows how many users have gone back to Windows because of suspend/resume
problems? This has been a very frustrating and time consuming issue for me. I
am aware that there are some politics here, but the Kernel Team needs to
include the best technology there is for suspend/resume. IMHO that is Tuxonice.
