Luke is Pulse audio running properly ? If pulse is not running this volume control will not function. A properly configure PA is a dependency for this. I have a branch ready to merge which will make the app far more robust to a flaky pulse audio scenario.
There are also issues with the indicator on arm devices. Will be working on them this week.
