John, This has been improved in gcalctool 5.29.92 (released 8th March). You can now add the hexadecimal suffix with Ctrl+H You can now convert between bases by pressing the base buttons, e.g.: Enter: 1, E, Ctrl+H Display shows: 1Eāā Press Ctrl+B to convert the displayed number to binary Display shows: 11110ā
There is an open bug to automatically add the hexadecimal suffix when in hexadecimal display mode (will not be implemented for 5.30): https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=610759 ** Bug watch added: GNOME Bug Tracker #610759 https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=610759 -- gcalctool 5.29 hides switch for display format in its settings window https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/501054 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
