I think anybody should be able to use Linux, especially Ubuntu, I thought it should be Linux for everyone, not only for users with standard compliant BIOS.
There is no BIOS update available for my notebook, there is only a text, "Windows 7 is not supported", in this case I think Linux should support this notebook!
