** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: indicator-sound

Similar to #521286 and #521930, my volume controls are grayed out and do
not function. I am still able to adjust the volume through my keyboard
and Sound Preferences. Submitting a new bug, since the others were
labeled "Fix Released" and wasn't sure if this was a bug regression or
  something new.
+
+ My on-board audio is a Realtek ALC889A.
