Could anyone affected please test two things:

1. linux-backports-modules-wireless-karmic-generic (newer versions of the
wireless drivers)
    a. Go to System -> Administration -> Software Sources
    b. Ensure the box for "Community-maintained Open Source software
(universe)" is checked
    c. Install the linux-backports-modules-wireless-karmic-generic (either
through apt-get install or through Synaptic Package Manager)
    d. Restart and test the new drivers
2. Lucid
    a. Download one of the daily lucid isos from
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ and test this in Lucid (you don't
need to install it, just boot it up to test)

If either of these seems to have the issue fixed we can then begin to
focus on finding a particular patch to fix the issue.

Thanks
