Hi, I dont know how you used the Albrecht's xorg.conf, but if I understood it correctly, you might use a "modified" xorg.conf. You need to uncomment some lines of his xorg.conf.
It would be something like the file I attached above. Hope it works (I dont have an Hercules eCafe).
