Hi, Thanks for your inquiry. I'm currently unable to reproduce the problem because the CD device is no longer accessible, even not from the startup menu. I suspect something is wrong with the connection, as I recently had to disassemble the computer to solve a power problem. In the meantime I have installed karmic with the PXE network boot, so if I can wake up the CD unit, I will be able to test it (I just have to find the energy needed to re-open the laptop, what means unscrew some 40 screws and screw them again...)
