Public bug reported: Using Edgy or snapshot of Feisty, the Ethernet controller is unusable whenever my T60 laptop is in its docking station.
Loading the "dock" kernel module (ACPI) manually resolves the problem; I've added it to /etc/modules but that's not within the reach of normal users. This is more problematic with the installer; dock does not seem to be present on the Edgy i386 CD (but maybe I should not use a server install CD, though); only fan, processor and thermal ACPI modules are there.
