I'm using Transmission 1.90 (10221) in Lucid. I find this bug very difficult to use transmission :( If transmission is running, browsing the web becomes very difficult.I have to shutdown the torrent or transmission completely.
How I'v configured transmission is: - Global Upload and download speeds : 15kb/s : 5kb/s - I download only on torrent at a time and i find the problem more with torrents with good number of seeds. - limited speed are at 5kb/s : 5kb/s Why I'm having to set these so low is ,since the speed limits are never honored for the good torrents... The partial workaround for now is to go in the torrent properties and set the speed limit for each torrent but that works only a few times , and that too isnt very effective always. Note however , that transmission window in the list shows the limits are being used but the speed reading from the conky/system monitor and the inability to web browsing indicate the speeds are being maxed out.
